Founder & Medical Director
Dr. Lopez trained at UT Health Houston McGovern Medical School and completed his residency at NYU School of Medicine, where he remained on faculty as an Assistant Professor of Medicine.
He returned to San Antonio to build a smaller, more deliberate internal medicine practice centered on continuity, access, and careful clinical judgment.

Reach your physician directly by phone, text, or secure email. Same- or next-day appointments. After-hours access for urgent concerns.
Extended visits. Annual exams, acute care, medication management, in-office procedures, and ongoing chronic disease management.
Dr. Lopez personally manages inpatient care at Methodist Hospitals, and coordinates every specialist referral from first call to follow-up.

Sereno Medicine starts at $125 per month — below the typical San Antonio concierge rate. Members who contribute above the floor fund sponsored memberships for patients experiencing hardship.

Common Questions
Your first visit is a comprehensive intake — not a rushed meet-and-greet. Plan for 60 to 90 minutes. Dr. Lopez reviews your full history, conducts a physical examination, and discusses your health goals.
No. This is not health insurance. Your membership covers your primary care relationship. You should maintain insurance for hospitalization, specialists, imaging, and prescriptions.
Yes. For Medicare Part B members, the membership fee covers concierge access services; clinical services are billed directly to Medicare.
