Sereno Medicine may use artificial intelligence tools in connection with your care. This page explains how. It is provided under Texas law (Senate Bill 1188 and House Bill 149), and it is available to you at any time.
AI tools may assist with clinical documentation, such as drafting visit notes; with organizing and reviewing records and clinical information; and with drafting routine communications.
No diagnosis, treatment plan, or prescription is made by an AI system. Those decisions are made by your physician. Any AI-generated record or recommendation is reviewed by the physician before it is relied upon or entered in your medical record.
Questions about how these tools are used in your care may be raised with Dr. Lopez or our staff at any time.
Every AI-assisted record and every AI-assisted recommendation is reviewed by a licensed physician. Clinical judgment is not delegated.
Any AI tool used with your health information is subject to the same privacy and security obligations as the rest of our systems, including HIPAA and our Notice of Privacy Practices.
